SATURDAY CUP SEASON 2 SEMIFINALS GAME 1 RECAP

Team 4 (67) vs Team 3 (58)

Team 4 led by Iko Lunday with 20 pts upset the number 1 seed Team 3. It was an all out effort from both teams, but the former took advantage of their size, muscling their way to victory by controlling the boards. Team 4 also had an offense boost from veteran Poloy Ruales who scored 16 pts and current Accenture Sharks guard Ryan Miano with 12 pts.

Team 3 put up a good fight while being undermanned but was just overwhelmed by the size of Team 4, even the likes of Jig Paul Rio Morales, Joseph Cipres, Kris Monsanto and Joshua Cabahug couldn't do a thing to stop Team 4's onslaught down the shaded area.

Team 1 (83) vs Team 2 (77)

A come from behind win by Team 1 led by Eddel Lindio Cabrera with 22 pts. Team 2 led almost the entire game, but could not hold on to the lead in the final quarter, with Beethoven Romeo's suffocating defense in the back court which led to a couple of fastbreaks to help grab the lead in the 4th quarter.

Team 2 couldn't find back its rhythm after losing the lead which led to a game 1 defeat at the hands of Team 1. Peter Ceniza and Mark Lester Lawas of Team 2 both had monstrous game but was just not enough to contain the aggressive youngsters of Team 1.
